From the most adorable meet-cute straight out of a romantic movie, to their surprise proposal, to their now wedding at the Jersey Shore, there was no shortage of romance and love and laughter throughout Victoria and Jonathan’s wedding day!! We loved capturing every moment, and really enjoyed their Breakwaters at the Dunes Wedding!

Classic, Romantic Details for a Jersey Shore Bride

Victoria’s dress was stunning! From the moment we took it out of the bag, I fell in love with her Christina Wu dress! Her long, gorgeous veil was the perfect accessory, along with her sparkly Betsy Johnson heels (which I was impressed that they kept on all evening!).

The room where Victoria got ready was so perfect! There was so much room for everyone to hang out, get their hair and makeup done and just relax before the festivities were to begin! After her sisters got her into her dress, she did a grand reveal with all of her bridesmaids, as well as her parents. Her dad’s reaction was everything you could hope for, when a dad sees his daughter as a bride for the very first time!

The Groom Getting Ready at The Cove

Meanwhile, Jon was hanging out with his groomsmen across the street at The Cove. They also had a grand suite, with lots of light, and room for everyone to hang out! Over the past 11 years of capturing weddings, Jon is one of our tallest grooms, as you’ll see when his best man is fixing his tie below! I believe it was said that he is 6’8″ which is the same as one of our past grooms, Rob who married Cassie back in 2011.

The Story of Victoria & Jon

It all started with what seemed like a meet-cute from a romantic movie… It was the day of Victoria’s sister’s wedding, and she was the Maid of Honor. She had not met the Best Man at the rehearsal the night before, because he could not make it. So, Victoria and Jon met right when they were about to walk down the aisle together. There was something there, between them, instantly, and the romance blossomed!

Although he was living in Seattle at the time, they made their long distance relationship work (She even flew out to visit him, even though she hates flying!). Not too much time passed before Jon got a new job, back on the east coast, closer to Victoria! They moved in together a couple months later, and after Victoria finished up a certification for work, Jon took her out to celebrate! Little did she know, that on this December evening, that they would arrive at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, and enter into a private room where Jon would get down on one knee and ask her to marry him!

Now, they are about to walk down the aisle again… but this time she walked TO him… and they became husband and wife!!

A Beautiful Ceremony at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Stone Harbor, NJ

The greatest things come to those who wait… which is what their Priest opened up the ceremony with! Their ceremony may have started a little late (almost an hour) but the ceremony flowed beautifully and nothing was rushed! It was the perfect way for Victoria and Jonathan to finally say their I do’s in front of all of their family and friends!

After the ceremony, we went down to 111th Street in Stone Harbor for portraits! We didn’t have much time, but their bridal party were troopers, and we were able to get what we’d normally capture in 30 minutes down to about 10/15 minutes!! We can’t thank them enough for being such great sports and helping us out so much!!

These two. Pure perfection! The way that Jon looks at Victoria, and the way she shyly glances back at him… it’s the stuff that romantic movies are made of! They were so easy to capture, and such a joy to be around!! Thank you for being so much fun, and so in love!! <3

We absolutely loved Victoria & Jon’s The Breakwaters at the Dunes Wedding! From the gorgeous ballroom, to the delicious food, to the amazing staff (Patrick & Sarah, we love you!), to just the ambiance of the evening – you really couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location to celebrate your I do’s!!
