A Luxurious Wedding at The Ballroom at the Ben | Marissa & David

A Luxurious Wedding at The Ballroom at the Ben | Marissa & David

Marissa & David had a luxurious fall wedding at the Ballroom at the Ben the weekend after Thanksgiving. Exquisite chandeliers, European ambiance, and turn-of-the-century elegance made for the perfect backdrop for their personal, modern Jewish Ceremony, and one of the most fun wedding receptions we’ve ever captured! Their day was nothing short of classic, modern and elegant!

Chic, Lovely Details for a Classic, Modern Bride

Marissa wore a gorgeous Danielle Caprese Bridal Gown from Kleinfeld Bridal, with a cathedral veil by Christie Lauren. The Maid of Honor rocked her Amsale Nouvelle dress, while the Bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their dressed designed by Watters, which were all purchased at The Bridal Garden. These stunning dresses that the Bridal and her bridesmaids wore were just the foundation to the classic, yet modern details and accessories that surrounded them! From Kendra Scott jewelry, to the breathtaking floral bouquets by Carl Alan Floral Design, to their flawless hair and makeup by Aleksandra Ambrozy, not a detail was missed!

Getting Ready with the Ladies at The Logan Hotel

Marissa and her ladies had a blast together getting ready in their huge suite at The Logan Hotel. There was so much room for everyone to spread out, yet have so much fun cuddled up on the couch, and experiencing this wonderful day with their beautiful bride to be!

Getting Ready with the Gents at The Logan Hotel

David was so stylish in his black tuxedo, with his white dinner jacket!  Along with his groomsmen, wearing all black, these tuxedos came from Formal Expressions. The tuxedos fit the men so perfectly and really made their classic, elegant wedding that much more stylish!

How He Proposed

Dave proposed to Marissa at Longwood Gardens. He had it in the work for months. He even told Marissa months prior that they’d be going there for a corporate work party so that she wouldn’t suspect anything. So, she bought a new dress, had her hair and makeup done and it was no surprise that Dave was in a suit, looking his finest! They wandered around Longwood, got a little lost and then ended up at a pagoda. At this point, Marissa started hysterically crying because she realized what was happening! Once he got down on one knee, and she said YES, both of their families appeared from a distance cheering!

A Fabulous First Look at The Logan Hotel

Marissa and David chose the Courtyard at The Logan for their First Look.  It was a chilly November day, but they wanted to brave the cold and do their first look outside!  It was perfect and private and full of emotion!  We took advantage of our time together and made sure to thoughtfully capture the two of them, their laughter, their love. They made it so easy for us.

Classic Bridal Party and Couple Portraits around The City of Philadelphia

Marissa and David allotted a little over two hours for photos of them, their family and their bridal party! So, we visited a few of Philadelphia’s most iconic landmarks and took advantage of the mild, beautiful November day!  After finishing portraits in the courtyard, we ventured across the street to the Amor Sculpture, and then traveled over to Philadelphia City Hall. We had to capture the classic City Hall photo and I loved that Marissa put on her black leather jacket to add a little edge to her classic look!  Afterwards, we hopped back on to the Cescaphe Trolley and ventured over to the Merchants Exchange Building before heading to the Ballroom at the Ben!

Ketubah Signing and Badeken in the Dessert Room at the Ballroom at the Ben

We absolutely love Jewish weddings and all of the traditions, celebrations and memorable moments throughout the day! First up was the Ketubah Signing.  We were honored to be in the room as Marissa & David signed their traditional marriage contract, while surrounded with their closest family and friends. Next, was the Badeken, where the groom veils the bride before their wedding ceremony. It was so sweet as each of their parents were so emotional while reading blessings to the couple. (I may have also gotten a bit teary at this point)

Saying I Do in the Ballroom at the Benjamin

This exquisite, elegant ballroom was the perfect setting for Marissa & David to share their weddings vows with one another.  They said their vows under a gorgeous chuppah designed by Carl Alan Floral Designs. The white flowers really highlighted the gold accents throughout the room.  However, our absolute favorite part, was the candles and flowers that lined the staircase, emphasizing Marissa’s grand entrance into the ballroom. It may have been my favorite moment of the night.  You could hear the room fall silent as she entered. It was breathtaking.

Fun with Family and Friends at the newlyweds Wedding at Finley Catering Ballroom at the Ben

Marissa & David danced and twirled the night away during their reception at the Ballroom at the Ben, just as Bradley Cooper & Jennifer Lawrence did in The Silver Linings Playbook. The cream table covers, plentiful floral designs and navy blue uplighting really set the scene for EBE Paris, their band, to rock the night away, keeping their guests on the dance floor all evening!  Especially during our favorite part of a Jewish Wedding – the Hora, or chair dance! In this dance, a few guests hoist the bride and groom high above, as their family and friends dance in an ecstatic circle around them!

Pomme Radnor Fall Wedding | Carol & Giovanni

Pomme Radnor Fall Wedding | Carol & Giovanni

Carol & Giovanni’s fall wedding at Pomme Radnor was nothing short of incredible! From the moment that Carol said YES, to meeting up again for their engagement photos, we’ve gotten to know them and love them and could not wait to capture this memorable day for the two of them!

Free-spirited, Bohemian details for a Modern, Fun, Chic Bride

Carol’s bridal gown was from Anthropologie‘s line BHLDN. It was the type of dress that gave everyone one of those “WOW!” moments when they saw her in it for the first time. From the beautiful tulle to the rose gold rhinestone belt, there was no detail left untouched.  The bridesmaids full length sequin attire was by Christina Wu. Although Carol decided to start the day off with beautiful heels, she had her cute Kate Spade sneakers waiting for her to dance the night away at the reception!

Getting Ready with the Girls at Carol’s Parents House

Carol and her bridesmaids got ready in the home where Carol grew up. It was so much fun to have Nicole Owad with SL8 Hair Salon there to do the ladies hair as well as Bella Faccia Cosmetics to doll them up with some beautiful makeup for the day.

First Look with Dad?  Always a YAY! Just seeing the reaction of a daddy seeing his baby girl for the first time on the morning of the wedding is so emotional! We love it!  A little something to honor her hubby…

Getting Ready with the Guys at The Bride & Grooms House

While the ladies were being pampered, the guys were having their own fun the morning of the wedding! Giovanni looked absolutely dapper in his custom suit by Indochino. We loved his personalized inscription on the inside of his suit jacket. It makes us so happy when our couples want their fur-babies to be a part of their wedding day!  Carol & Giovanni’s new puppy, Albus Dumbledood made an appearance the morning of the wedding, hanging with his daddy!

How He Proposed

There really isn’t anything quite like capturing a surprise proposal.  So, when Giovanni contacted us to capture this precise moment, when he would ask Carol to be his wife, we were beyond honored!  To see the entire story, check out the link here: Blue Cross River Rink Surprise Proposal

Saying “I Do” at Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill, PA

The moment that Giovanni saw Carol was so sweet, and so emotional. You could tell that he was anticipating this moment for so long. Their ceremony was meaningful, with a little bit of fun and laughter mixed in!

Bridal Party Photos at Pomme

Pomme has such a beautiful outdoor space for photos, and we were so excited to take advantage of the entire area with Giovanni & Carols nearest and dearest!  We had a bit of fun with the balloons that the bridesmaids blew up that morning!

Bride and Groom Portraits at Pomme

The love, laughter and romance was so easy to capture with a couple like Giovanni & Carol.  You could see how much he loves her and takes care of her, and how she loves to joke around with him and bring so much laughter to their relationship. With Pomme‘s setting, just as pretty as a French Park, we had no shortage of areas to capture this perfect bride and groom together!

A Reception with their Family & Friends at Pomme – A Peachtree Venue

Pomme boasts of being a rustic, chic and natural, unique wedding venue, and it surely did not disappoint! The large windows overlooked the outdoor scenery, while the inside showed off the beautiful wooden globe lighting and natural aesthetic. It was simple, yet glamorous! The wooden chairs, with white tables clothes and greenery galore really set the mood for the evening. All of the details, from the place cards to table numbers, were self made by the bride!

A One of A Kind Wedding Cake

When your mom is the Queen of The Cookie Queen, you get to see first-hand all of the love that goes into having your dream wedding cake come to life.  Carol’s mom is such a wonderful, talented artist and the cake turned out absolutely beautiful! (…and totally yummy!!)

A Sparkler Send-Off for the Bride & Groom

Sparklers are such a fun way to end the night with the bride and groom!  Sometimes we so a little light-painting, and some times they have the most important people gathered around them as they leave their wedding, and begin their journey as husband and wife! We highly recommend the 36″ sparklers to last the longest and to have the most fun with!

Fabulous Fall Wedding at the Union League of Philadelphia | Mackenzie + Armand

Fabulous Fall Wedding at the Union League of Philadelphia | Mackenzie + Armand

Mackenzie and Armand’s fall wedding at the Unique League of Philadelphia was truly one-of-a-kind with a classic style that incorporated unique and stylish details along the way. We already knew they were a pleasure to work with from their engagement session and loved getting to know their friends and family throughout the wedding day. The couple’s unforgettable wedding day was stylish, sentimental, and gorgeous, just like the bride and groom!

Chic Bridal Details for a Modern, Classy Bride

The bridal gown was custom designed by Kate McDonald Bridal as a modern take on the traditional a-line ball gown, which Mackenzie looked gorgeous and elegant in, of course. The bridesmaids dresses came from BHLDN, Anthropologie’s bridal line, and they looked absolutely beautiful. The stunning bridal jewelry made by DeFino & Campagna Fine Jewelry that gave her a pop of blue, was gifted by her parents for her college graduation.

Getting Ready With the Girls at The Inn at Union League

Mackenzie and her bridesmaids had a great time getting ready at The Inn at the Union League! You could tell this was an important time for her and her mom, especially when the gown was finally on, hence her moms excited reaction.

Such a sweet moment between the bride and her father for their First Look!

Mackenzie’s junior bridesmaid, Abigail, kept a longtime family tradition going! Abigail’s mother was a flower girl at Mackenzie’s mother’s wedding, and when Abigail’s mother married, Mackenzie was her flower girl. What a great way to involve your family and keep up a family tradition!

Getting Ready With the Groomsmen

Armand was so stylish in his vibrant blue suit, custom designed by Canali! His boutonniere was genuinely unique, a modern, handcrafted wooden piece and his Rolex added to his modern groom style. While the ladies were getting pampered, Armand and his groomsmen enjoyed a little free time before making final touches on their dashing looks at the Hyatt at the Bellevue.

How He Proposed

“We met at University of Rhode Island through mutual friends. Two of Mackenzie’s friends through a campus group called The Student Alumni Association happen to be Armand’s roommates and they introduced us!

There is a pretty cool tradition at URI that your college career as a Rhody Ram both starts and ends on the quad in the center of campus. The very first thing you do as a student is meet your orientation group on the quad and the very last is graduation on the quad. We were up visiting campus on what I thought was a regular weekend getaway. As we were walking back to our car, crossing the quad, Armand proposed!”
– Mackenzie

The Perfect First Look for the Bride and Groom

The moment Mackenzie and Armand laid eyes on each other for the first time on their wedding day was so sweet and perfect! They loved having that special time together before the excitement of the day took off. We wanted to take advantage of the rare time with just the two of them, so we photographed the pair inside the library of the Union League. The library ended up being the perfect intimate setting for romantic portraits of the bride and groom!

After their adorable First Look in the library, we took advantage of downtown Philly with portraits of the couple with classic Philadelphia in the background.

Saying, “I Do!” in the Historic Meade Room

This classic, historic room only needed a few floral details to create a romantic wedding ceremony. The bride and groom had clearly been anxiously awaiting this moment, but they still managed to plan meaningful details that involved their family.

During the ceremony, the couple lit a unity candle using candlesticks made by the bride’s grandfather years ago when he worked in a steel mill in Pittsburgh. Loving how they included their family in their wedding plans!

A Reception With All Their Family & Friends in the Grand Ballroom!

Lincoln Hall at Union League is an epic reception venue with glamorous details like the chandeliers and spectacular stage for the band. The navy blue tables, plentiful floral decor, and gold accents complemented the historic design of the room, adding to the classic, but chic wedding style. Mackenzie and Armand chose an amazing venue and created an unforgettable event for their family and friends.

In lieu of wedding favors, the newlyweds made a donation to the American Cancer Society. And after the wedding, all the floral arrangements were donated to the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania. We’re so lucky to have beautiful couples like Mackenzie and Armand that have hearts of gold!

A Fun Wedding at Flanders Hotel in Ocean City, NJ | Caitlin & Andrew

A Fun Wedding at Flanders Hotel in Ocean City, NJ | Caitlin & Andrew

The day began at The Flanders Hotel in Ocean City. It is the most perfect, breezy summer day. There are seagulls in the sky, a car show happening on the boardwalk, and a joyous, happy calm in the air! Caitlin is in the makeup chair getting pampered by Taffeta Design, while she is surrounded by the women who mean the most to her! Meanwhile, Andrew is at his parents condo, hanging out with his best guy friends waiting for the festivities to begin.

This ninth day of September could not have been a more ideal day for Caitlin and Andrew to get married at St. Augustine Church in Ocean City. They had a beautiful Catholic ceremony and tears were definitely shed. The moment Caitlin & Andrew said their I Do’s, you could feel that the celebration was just beginning.

We ventured to the beach at 14th Street Pier in Ocean City. While capturing their bridal party, a butterfly decided to join in, and we were able to capture probably one of my favorite ring shots ever. The butterfly reminded Caitlin of her grandfather, and made her feel that he was there with them on this happy day!

The boardwalk was full of fun, families and a car show, but that didn’t stop us from capturing some fun photos of this bride and groom!  They rode the swings, the carousel and Andrew, although scared of heights, braved the ferris wheel for his new wife!

The remainder of the night consisted of so much love as all of their friends and family danced the night away with them!

I loved this so much! Especially since one of our wedding colors was hot pink too!  There were so many happy tears throughout the day!  The cutest and most emotional ring bearer!  We loved how Michelle and Chris were up for anything!  LOVE nighttime rain shots! A Beautiful Summer Wedding at Atlantic City Country Club | Alison & Jim

A Beautiful Summer Wedding at Atlantic City Country Club | Alison & Jim

The island of Brigantine, right outside of Atlantic City, means the world to Alison and Jim.  Their relationship started to blossom while spending summer nights at Alisons family’s beach house there. Jim popped “the question” there. And on June 17th, 2017, they said their I Do’s and officially became husband and wife at St. Thomas Church in Brigantine. The day that Jim proposed to Alison, he said “You make me so happy, I want to be this happy forever.” Well, forever began on this day.

The day began as we arrived at the Atlantic City Country Club for getting ready photos.  I was greeted by the ever so sweet Bridal Attendant Ana! When it came to taking care of Alison and Jim throughout the day, she was absolutely amazing!

Alison and Jim decided to have a quick first look on 6th Street, where they normally go to the beach. Jim’s reaction to seeing Alison was priceless! And who could blame him? She was stunning!

Their ceremony was at St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, only two streets away. Father Michael Davis made their ceremony so personal to them. He even got their parents involved – both of which have been married for 33 years!

After they said their I Do’s, we hopped onto the AC Jitney and had so much time for some amazing photos around the Atlantic City County Club.  The golf course is so beautiful and you can see Atlantic City so clearly when the sky was blue and the sun was shining! It was the perfect place to celebrate such a special day with all of their family & Friends!
