Ryan and I first met Meredith & Travis only 4 days before their wedding. Although we’ve been chatting and getting to know one another through email for almost a year, it was amazing to finally meet these two in person! When we met, it was as if we’ve known them for years! This meeting made us just that much more excited for their wedding day, where we were greeted with hugs and smiles! We felt more like friends than hired vendors throughout the day, and that is just priceless! We love you both so much Meredith & Travis, and we were honored to capture your Stone Harbor Yacht Club Wedding! xo
Meredith Getting Ready at a Shore House in Stone Harbor, NJ
What a beautiful, bright, modern house to get ready in! The decor was just perfect! Meredith and her girls had a chill, fun morning in their “bikini” shirts, before it was time to officially get dressed! Have I told you lately how much I love Father-daughter first looks?! This might be my favorite thus far! Her dad’s reaction to seeing her for the first time was the sweetest!
Travis Getting Ready at The Windrift Hotel in Avalon, NJ
Travis and his guys got ready over at the Windrift Hotel! His dad helped him tie is tie, while his mom put his boutonnière on. There was so much laughter and excitement!
The Love Story of Meredith & Travis
Meredith & Travis’ Meet-cute as remembered by Meredith:
“After several cross-country moves and what I’d later come to find was a series of missed connections in our roaring 20’s, I met Travis when I moved back to Wilmington for work in the fall of 2014. Travis, Boston born & bred, worked for Capital One as well and had moved to Wilmington a few years prior from our LA office. Spoiler alert… there was no workplace scandal to be had and the next two years unfolded to become what I’d later call the most anticlimactic romance novel that could ever be written. Sorry to disappoint.
I was introduced to Travis for the first time on September 21, 2014 (my birthday) during a company volunteer committee meeting. After a few more interactions, this “cute bald guy at work” quickly escalated to full blown crush status (my first and last work crush ever for the record). As it turned out, this work crush of mine was reciprocated…
2+ years and hundreds of sporadic romantic texts and talks about dates without follow through, he finally decided to ask me on our first date. It was March 25, 2017. A few hours, several beverages, and an all-star Philly bar hop line up organized by yours truly, Travis paused (I admittedly was waiting for this romance novel to heat up a bit) and said: “wow, I didn’t realize you were so funny!” My immediate thought: “RUDE!” My response: “Well… I didn’t realize you were so smart!” And the rest was history.
All romance novel jokes aside, I am the luckiest gal to be marrying my work crush, best pal, and one true love who just happens to be the kindest person I’ll ever know (minus the I didn’t know you were funny comment on the first date, still pretty rude). Life is most certainly sweeter with my Honeybun by my side!”
A Sentimental Ceremony at Stone Harbor Yacht Club
Rev. Stephen Setzer put together such a meaningful ceremony for Meredith and Travis. There was laughter, there were tears, but overall, you could just feel the love and excitement that Meredith and Travis had as they would finally be married!!!
Bridal Party Photos at Stone Harbor Yacht Club
Before the ceremony, Meredith and Travis didn’t want to see one another, but they wanted to do some portraits outside! So, we made sure each one was hidden away as we took separate bride & bridesmaids portraits, and then groom & groomsmen portraits! After the ceremony, we were able to do some photos of them all together!
Bride & Groom Portraits at Stone Harbor Yacht Club
Easy. Comfortable. Fun-loving. Laughter. Love. Joy. All the words that come to mind when photographing Meredith & Travis. To say they made our job easy would be an understatement! They just had the best time together, laughing and loving on each other!
Tecate? Yep! Apparently, Tecate has played a small part in some big moments of Meredith & Travis’s relationship. From the moment she asked him to be her boyfriend, to when he asked her to be his wife, it was no surprise that Tecate would be the signature drink at their wedding!
