About the Union League of Philadelphia

The League has hosted U.S. presidents, industrialists, heads of state, dignitaries, and entertainers from around the world, and is a big supporter of the US. Military. Its motto, “amor patriae ducit,” means “love of country leads.”

These members represent diverse facets of industries as varied as business, education, healthcare, government, religion, culture, and technology. The Union League of Philadelphia was added to the National Historic Register in 1979.
