Located in historical Philadelphia, near hip bars, boutiques, eateries and world-famous attractions, the Hotel Monaco includes 268 guest rooms, 13,000 square feet of meeting space, a charming neighborhood restaurant, rooftop lounge, and splendid ballroom. It was rated one of the Best Hotels in Pennsylvania by U.S. News & World Report in 2017, and recognized with AAA’s Four Diamond Award, also in 2017.

Located across the street from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, the Hotel Monaco is surrounded by historical sites of interest, and amazing places to explore, from the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Old City Historic District, to the Franklin Institute and Adventure Aquarium.

Venue Spaces

A Hotel Monaco wedding welcomes up to 200 guests.

Lafayette Ballroom: This grand yet chic lobby level ballroom features natural lighting and is perfect for your wedding ceremony and/or celebration. Contemporary teardrop crystal chandeliers and a bold geometric floor pattern in the hardwood floors exude romance and elegance. The ballroom looks out toward Independence National Historic Park and offers multiple lighting options to transform your reception space into a magical wonderland in which you and your guests can dance the night away.

Stratus Rooftop Lounge: Located a soaring eleven stories above Philadelphia, this stunning rooftop space was specially crafted by Los Angeles designer Gulla Jonsdottir, who incorporated lush textures and moveable walls into the trendy yet comfortable space. The Stratus Rooftop Lounge is divided into a large outdoor patio, an indoor bar, and the Vapor and Mist pavilions.

Hotel Monaco Wedding Pricing and Other Information

Set up time may start one hour prior to the beginning of the event, and all events must end by 1:00 am. The Hotel Monaco offers six hours of event time for evening weddings, and five hours for daytime weddings, not including set up and clean up time. Couples also have the option of selecting a ceremony-only wedding. The Hotel Monaco is not available for weekday weddings.

There is no rental fee for the wedding ceremony and reception, but a food and beverage minimum applies to all events. The Hotel Monaco provides alcohol and catering, which is customized to each event.

Average wedding costs at the Hotel Monaco-Philadelphia is estimated to be between $23,361-$37,272 for a 100-guest ceremony and reception.
