My Independence Day!

It was the BEST decision I’ve ever made to fully jump feet first in pursuing what I truly dreamed of doing! To have Ryan there to help me and support me and give me the drive and confidence to actually take this leap – there are no words to the love and gratitude I have for my wonderful, loving husband who always sees the best in me and knows what I can do even when I can’t see it. He is truly my rock, and my everything!

The three years prior to going full time I was finishing college and working full time as well as trying to build my business… and those years were hard… really hard… but the moment I was able to quit my full time job and turn something I was so passionate about into a full time job reality was all worth it!  I wont lie, these past 3 years since then have been hard as well, but the difficult times and the anxiety of booking weddings and finding the perfect brides and grooms and trying not to be a crazy “sales” person… these times are all worth it when I show up on a wedding day to a huge hug from my bride saying how excited she is that I am there… to their faces when they see one of the images we’ve just captured… to their reactions when they get their sneak peek… then receiving so many thanks after sending them their photos and album… and then the wonderful friendship that continues after their wedding – each of my brides and grooms make it ALL worth it!  They are my reason for doing what I’m doing – their LOVE keeps me moving and keeps me motivated – and I love each and every one of them for this!  Without each of them, I would not be where I am today – and to each and every one of you and the 160+ weddings I’ve shot thus far, I want to say a huge THANK YOU and I LOVE YOU!

And since posts are better with photos… here is a photo from our trip to Mexico in 2011 where we decided that when we returned home, I was quitting my job in the corporate world and taking on my dreams full time!
