OTH!

It is amazing sometimes to think how much a tv show can influence your life.  Over the past 9 years, One Tree Hill has been that show for me.  From 2003 to 2012 my life has changed so much… From the bad relationships and heartbreak to marrying the love of my life… from finding out who my true friends are and building some awesome friendships as a result… from going to college to becoming an entrepreneur!  This show has been by me and has grown up with me, and has been a staple in my life every week for the past 9 years.  It is hard to say goodbye to these people, although you’ve never met, you feel as if you know them, their story, and you can relate to them.  I don’t know if I’ll ever post on here again about a tv show… but to get to know me is to know that I love One Tree Hill, and I don’t think there will ever be another tv show quite like it.

Tonight, I will spend this evening with my best friend, a glass of wine and a box of tissues as we say goodbye to the show that was the building block to the amazing friendship we have today!

“Remember tonight, for it is the beginning of always. A promise. Like a reward for persisting through life so long alone. A belief in each other and the possibility of love. A decision to ignore, simply rise above the pain of the past. A covenant, which at once binds two souls and yet severs prior ties. A celebration of the chance taken and the challenge that lies ahead. For two will always be stronger than one, like a team braced against the tempest civil world. And love will always be the guiding force in our lives. For tonight is mere formality. Only an announcement to the world of feelings long held. Promises made long ago. In the sacred spaces of our hearts.” – Lucas Scott
