We have been anticipating Mary Beth and Ken’s Great Gatsby inspired wedding since we first met with them and their wonderful families over a year ago! Sitting in our office, listening to all that they had planned and all the vintage awesomeness that they had collected thus far made us so excited! So, when their day arrived, it did not disappoint!
From their 1920’s Rolls Royce, to getting married in the church where her parents were married, to the amazing decor that they collected over the past 2 years, to the most perfect venue for their wedding – the Flanders Hotel in Ocean City (which was also built in the 1920s!). Seriously, this day was pure Great Gatsby perfection! <3
Enjoy the sneak peek my lovelies!! <3 xo
Their beautiful invitation designed by Abbey Malcolm Letterpress! (She’s awesome! You should check her out!) All of the florals were by Manic Botanic! They were beautiful! Seriously, though… I pull up to Mary Beth’s parents house, and they had a perfect heart shaped arbor – Of course that was where the dress was going! The girls sent a text of this photo to Ken!!!! The dress.. the jewelry… the veil… stunning!! Proud papa! Meanwhile… Ken was getting all dapper for the day! I love that Mary Beth chose to get married where her parents did! Its such a beautiful and treasured memory! The feathers were the perfect touch at the church!! I could have shot with their Rolls Royce ALL.DAY.LONG!! Their bridal party was so much fun! <3 Love them all! Lookin’ good Ken! Breathtaking Mary Beth! <3 My favorite part of their day? This moment… on the ferris wheel in Ocean City <3 From the moment you entered the Flanders Hotel, you felt like you were a part of the greatest 1920’s party ever!!! Every centerpiece was different! It was magnificent! They might not of been able to shoot champagne from the bottles… but confetti worked perfectly!! :) … and then I cried… because I can’t help it… their parent dances were so sweet <3 I love how most of her guests dressed the part!!! So awesome! Their favors were the cutest little prohibition boxes!!! I loved them!!! “I love her, and that is the beginning and end of everything” – F. Scott Fitzgerald The perfect way to end our night… a little romance on the beach! <3Congratulations Mr + Mrs Atwood! We hope you’re having a magical time in Disney and you enjoy re-living these wonderful moments from this amazing day! xo
I think ever since I started my wedding photography business, I’ve always dreamed of shooting a Wizard of Oz themed wedding. To date, sadly, I dont know of anyone who has done a wedding with such an awesome theme, so I started talking to some of my favorite ladies in the industry, and we decided, lets do it ourselves! I cant even express how incredibly fabulous it was to have my dreams come true right in front of my eyes! I had such a fabulous time not just putting together this shoot, but working side by side with some of the best women in the industry! We were so thankful that Mr. Pratt offered his property – Pratt Gardens – as our backdrop! It was absolutely gorgeous, and we could not thank him enough for his hospitality! It was truly a wonderful day!
Here is a list of all of the a-maz-ing vendors involved:
Another dream of mine was to be featured on one of my favorite wedding blogs – Inspired by This. So, after completing our shoot, I submitted the photos, and they accepted it!!! Yesterday, I had the absolute privilege of being featured on their website!! :) Love it!!
