Kristen + Colin!

About 8 months passed of them dating and commuting when they finally decided to move in together! They ended up in Queens because it was the only place that they could commute in opposite directions and end back up in the middle! That pretty much describes their relationship as well – Kristen is a Scientist and Colin is in the Arts, but they can always meet in the middle and are perfect partners for one another!

Colin proposed during a “typical date night” for them… they hopped on their bikes and rode from Queens to Brooklyn where they ate dinner at a lobster shack. Kristen got suspicious when after dinner Colin said he really wanted to stop at Gantry State Park. The park is beautiful at night and has a gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline from across the East River. Colin pulled the ring out of his backpack when he said he “wanted to take a photo” and they got engaged holding onto their bikes and wearing helmets like dorks. It was the Friday of Labor Day, and they had plans to visit her parents the next day which was a nice touch!

Cape May holds a special place in Kristen’s heart – she has had many childhood memories there! Plus, its absolutely beautiful! So, they decided to have their wedding at the gorgeous Chalfonte Hotel! This became the perfect place and perfect atmosphere for them to celebrate their love, as well as an awesome farewell party, since they will be moving from New York to San Francisco to start a new adventure together! <3 Enjoy the sneak peek of their love-filled beginning of their happily ever after! xo

Kristens shoes! My goodness! I got SO excited at the site of these! She got them from ModCloth.com! Her Nicole Miller dress was so beautiful as well! All florals were by Karen Fowler Floral Design – they were beautiful! All the ladies! They were so much fun! Gorgeous, darling! Meanwhile, Colin is looking absolutely dapper with his custom suit from My Suit NY! Colin was so excited to see his bride!
I love that Kristen and Colin wrote their own vows! Gosh, if Ryan and I did this, I don’t think I could have gotten through it! Congratulations lovebirds!!! I absolutely LOVED the bridesmaids dresses! They were Jenny Yoo rented from Vow to be Chic! These two are such a beautiful couple! The way Colin makes Kristen smile…. swoon :) Stunning! Just absolutely stunning!
I just adored that Colin had their wedding date sewn underneath his collar of this suit jacket! Bouquet toss from the balcony! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful or perfect day for Kristen + Colin! We wish you so much love, luck and happiness as you set off on this new adventure together! xoxo

Katie + Steven!

You may remember Katie and Steven from their engagement at Washington Lake Park… Their love and their connection is so sweet and endearing… yet we love that they can be complete goof-balls as well! The entire day took place at the beautiful, historic Chalfonte Hotel in Cape May! From their first look on the porch, to their ceremony in the Magnolia Room, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!! xo Her something blue was a heart sewn into her dress from her fathers graduation tassel…
Melissa from Bella Angel did Katie’s hair and makeup These girls rocked!!! Cant forget the boys! Absolutely LOVE the Monopoly battleship cufflinks that Katie got Steven! I could not have been more excited that Katie and Steven chose to do a first look! It gave us SO much time for photos, as well as time to relax and have some touch-ups before the ceremony! <3 love! adore the color palette! Katie, you are absolutely breathtaking! You’re pretty studly yourself, Steven! Love the ways that they chose to honor Katie’s dad throughout the day… One of Katie’s brothers walked her down the aisle… And the other brother officiated and did a brilliant job!!
Katie did her bouquet toss during cocktail hour from the balcony out front of the hotel!! they were singing the lyrics to their first dance song… Jason Mraz “I’m Yours” <3 Mother Son Dance, and Katie danced with her brother to Butterfly Kisses in memory of her dad… Love me some nighttime goodness!
