Heather and Jeff got engaged 3 weeks ago today. Here is their engagement story, according to Heather:
“It was Friday, May 2. I came home from work and Jeff was already home. He was sitting on the couch, drinking a beer…. a pretty normal Friday evening. We had tickets for the Phillies game that night, so I said “hi, how was your day” and got moving to what I had to do before we left for the game in 30 minutes. He asked me if we would have time to drink in the parking lot before the game… I, rudely replied “of course not, jeff. its already 6pm, we have to eat dinner, and then leave as soon as Alli and Justin get here at 6:30”. He replied and said “well, I got a bunch of beers, take a look in the cooler”. A back and forth discussion about why he bought a cooler full of beers for him and Justin when we didn’t even have time to drink before the game went on for a few minutes. He kept telling me to see what kind of beers he got. With my hands full, I quickly went over to the table to open the cooler, basically to make him shut up. As soon as the lid opened an inch, I dropped everything that was in my hands and said “O my god”. The cooler was full of a dozen roses, two bottles of champagne, and a beatiful engagement ring sitting right on top. I was literally surprised and this is very hard to do. I walked out of the room because I was in shock (and laughing at myself for being so rude to him before). He said “Umm, can you come back, I need to ask you something?”. I came back! He got down on one knee, said a bunch of really cute things that I don’t exactly remember because I was so excited and surprised, and asked me to be his wife! I said “It’s about time”! Nah, I’m just kidding.. I said “YES”!!! ”

Michelle and Bill met each other in August 2007 at a Phillies game… and four years later he proposed on September 22nd, 2011 where their love story began! I could paraphrase their story, but I’d rather share Michelle’s version of their engagement:
“Bill surprised me with last minute tickets to the Phillies final home game of the season. It was Fan Appreciation Night and that is usually one of the best games to go to because the Phillies give away tons of prizes. I was very tired from work and did not want to go to the game. I saw how much Bill wanted to go so, I threw on my Phillies shirt and we headed out. When we got to the game I was shocked at how close our seats were. We were right next to the bullpen and 2 rows off of the field. Bill and I have two different motives when we go to the game, Bill’s is to catch a homerun ball and mine is to get on the kiss cam. I right of way thought that with our amazing seats both of our wishes might actually happen. As we sat down in our seats Bill quickly got up to go to the bathroom. While he was gone I was texting a coworker who was also at the game and asking her where she was sitting. When Bill came back from the bathroom he suggested that since we were sitting so close to the bullpen we should try to get a pitcher to throw us a ball. Bill then stood up and said, “Come on Michelle, I bet Antonio Bastardo will throw you one.” I then got up but quickly sat back down b/c number one I was shy and number two I did not want to climb over the dad and son sitting at the end of our row. Bill continued to go over toward the bullpen and I thought he was being rather persistent. He motioned me over and I decided to go. Sure enough a ball was thrown up to me. After catching it I was waving and giving the players the thumbs up sign. At that moment I was too caught up in my catch and also the Phillies pitchers that I didn’t notice anything else. As I was walking back to my seat Bill asked me who had signed my ball. I looked down to see what he was talking about and all of a sudden I had read, “Michelle I love you, will you marry me?” When I looked up Bill was down on one knee and everyone was cheering and clapping. I was so shocked that I kept asking him if he was serious. When he pulled out the ring I could tell that he clearly was. We then were put up on the fanavision and it was one of the coolest and most unbelievable moments of my life. How amazing that we met at the bullpen and four years later we were getting engaged at the bullpen :)”
We had such a fabulous time with Michelle and Bill last week, exploring Citizens Bank Park and capturing their amazing love together! I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!
We started our time in one of the coolest spots… The Locker Room!
Then, of course, we had some batting practice!

Their love and laughter was totally contagious!
This is where it all happened! Right in the area above them! <3
The prefect ring!
