An Engagement at the Historic Smithville Mansion | Shannon & Rob

An Engagement at the Historic Smithville Mansion | Shannon & Rob

Shannon and Rob didn’t meet through friends, or at a bar, or at work. Instead, they met through an online dating app. Oddly enough, they met through Tinder! Shannon never thought that it would happen, but after their first date at a Starbucks, love started to brew!

Their engagement came as a complete surprise to her! It was a few days before Christmas of 2015. Shannon had just gotten home from work, and was sitting on the kitchen floor sorting through and wrapping Christmas gifts. Rob came down and handed her a box saying to open her gift.  Shannon didn’t understand, because it wasn’t Christmas yet, and you can’t open gifts before Christmas! But, Rob insisted anyways.  Shannon opened the box to see a ring, and just kept saying “Are you serious?!” and that is when he asked her to marry him.

Since their first date was at a Starbucks, we figured that would be the perfect place to start their engagement session. We met up for a quick cup of coffee before heading over to Historic Smithville Mansion & Park in Mt. Holly.  Shannon and Rob are such a fun couple and we can not wait to capture their wedding this coming December!  Especially, since we’ll get to see Shannon’s sister Meghan again!  We captured Meghan & Derek’s wedding at the Collingswood Grand Ballroom back in 2013!

Sarah + Mark!

Sarah + Mark!

Sarah and Mark’s proposal story is probably one of my favorites!  They went down to Baltimore for the weekend, and visited one of my favorite places… the National Aquarium at the Baltimore Inner Harbor!  Around 11:30am, they went to watch the Dive Show – the divers were feeding fish in a huge multi-level tank. Sarah noticed a diver swimming up towards them with a white sign… the diver flipped the sign around, and it said “Sarah Anne, Will You Marry Me?”  She turned around and Mark was down on one knee… and of course she said YES!!!  Swoon!!

Sarah and Mark decided to have their engagement photos taken at a nearby park that they take their fur baby Lola to often – Historic Smithville Park in Mt Holly, NJ.  We had so much fun getting to know the both of them and just how “cool” they can be!  haha!  We can’t wait for their wedding at the Bradford Estates this October!!  Enjoy the sneak peek!!
