Michael and Rebecca met their Senior Year of high school, and have been together ever since! Michael proposed to Rebecca when they were vacationing in Maine… They were at Acadia National Park on top of one of the cliffs, when Michael set up his tripod to take a photo of them (like they normally do) but little did Rebecca know, he had it on video, and it was there, on the top of the cliff that Michael proposed to her! According to her, she almost fell off the cliff! :)
We met up with these two lovebirds at Weymouth Furnace Park! They wanted something that would show off the fall colors, plus they would tube down the river in the summer, so it was the perfect location! Enjoy the sneak peek! Swoon! Love this one! <3Oh, the laughter! Michael is a police officer for the new Camden County Police force, so of course he wanted to show his pride! Cant wait to capture these two again when they get married in April!!
I’ve got to start off by saying that I absolutely adore these two! Brittany and Matt are so much fun, loving and just super cute together!! Brittany contacted me (before this ridiculous snow storm) asking if it would be possible to do a spur of the moment session when it snows… Of course I said yes! I love the beautiful snow! What we didn’t realize is that we would be capturing their engagement session only a short 5 days later!
But before the photos… comes their love story… In Brittany’s words…
“Matt and I met in German class in high school when he was a senior and I was a sophomore. I always joke with him that our teacher sat me next to him to help him because he was a little bit of a slacker! We are complete opposites in that I loved school and plan everything and he is more of a free spirit that is much more spontaneous than me! I noticed that Matt suddenly starting taking an interest in learning German and used that as a way to start talking to me. A loooong 7 months after our first “date”, he finally asked me to his girlfriend and the rest is history! We’ve been together almost six years, so I’ve been expecting that the proposal would be coming eventually. Because I’m such a planner, I thought there was no way that he’d be able to surprise me without me catching on, but this past March we spent a week traveling around on the west coast and I thought that might be the time he’d ask me. But each place we went, nothing happened. We had about an hour left before we had to leave Vegas to catch our flight home, so we played a little Blackjack and then thought we’d go for a short walk on the strip before we left. To my surprise, Matt popped the question in front of the Bellagio fountains on the Vegas Strip with the Eiffel Tower in the background! It was perfect, spontaneous, and 100% him! Very true to his character, it was so spontaneous that he even bought the ring while we were on vacation!”
Totally swoon-worthy right?! Love the spontaneity and the perfect location for their proposal!! <3 These two are beyond sweet together! A little hot chocolate to warm the soul Cant wait for their wedding on October 10th… and their Day After session!!! ;) Brittany, you are beautiful! Whats a snowy session without a little sledding?! A snow ball fight was definitely on the menu! haha! <3 <3 <3 The perfect ending… Matt tackling Brittany for a kiss! xo
A few months ago, Mandy had put it out there on Facebook for suggestions for engagement locations. Boy, do I love Facebook for any kind of help! She got so many great suggestions including Weymouth Furnace Park! I had never been there before, but when we arrived, gosh, it was so beautiful and so perfect for our shoot! We had such a great time with Mandy and Ryan, especially because they ended up in the water at the end! Our kind of couple! <3 Enjoy the sneak peek!
