To photograph a wedding in Cape May, New Jersey is like a dream. It is such a cute town with so much history behind it. From the beautiful beaches, to the cute shops and great dining, it is not only the perfect getaway spot, but also the perfect wedding location!
We’d LOVE to capture more weddings in Cape May! So, we were talking to Krystina, the Director of Events at Congress Hall, and dreamed up this styled shoot. Since we haven’t captured a wedding at Congress Hall in a few years, we wanted to show brides and grooms how we would capture a wedding at this gorgeous location. There is romance just oozing from every corner! So, we put together the BEST group of vendors that we’ve worked with!
Emily from Narola Design + Letterpress knocked it out of the park with her Paper Suite and Design! And the Calligraphy from Charlie Whiskey Design was SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I absolutely fell in love with this escort card display! We wanted to stay local, so we visited the beautiful bridal shop, Free Love Bridal, located right in Cape May! The owner Betsy was an absolute joy to work with and helped to find the perfect dress! This dress from Allure Romance just screams Classic Romance, am I right?! The jewelry borrowed from Harry Merrill & Sons was so exquisite! This estate floral diamond ring was absolutely stunning. Steve helping his beautiful wife Carly get ready :) Blush clutch to match the dress from Free Love Bridal. Thank you to Jess from Your Day Your Way for doing Carly’s hair and makeup. You helped Carlys’ beauty shine even brighter than normal! This floral circular arch is a new addition to A Garden Party, and I am in love! Carly and Steve renewing their vows under the arch! We could not have been more thankful that Carly and Steve were available to model for us! Their chemistry, their love, the laughter between them that is so contagious – they are the epitome of Classic Romance, and a couple that is truly in love with one another for all the right reasons. We love the both of you so much and can not thank you enough! The bicentennial china at Congress Hall was absolutely gorgeous. Right outside the main doors, we set up a donut wall, instead of having a normal wedding cake! A Garden Party never disappoints! These flowers, the bouquet, and all the little details were perfect!
And the perfect ending… a beautiful video by the absolutely AMAZING Be Films!!!!

Let the recap of our 5th year of photographing pretty spectacular weddings begin…
Jamie and Mitch’s first date was *of course* a doggie play date with their doodles on the beach in Stone Harbor! A year from their very first date, Mitch took Jamie back to that same beach, in the pouring rain, dressed her up in a neon orange poncho and proposed in the sand! How incredibly romantic!! <3 Swoon!
Since Jamie + Mitch absolutely love the beach, it was only fitting for a beach engagement session! We met up in Cape May and walked around Congress Hall, Washington Street and then ending our time together on the beautiful beach! Cant wait to capture these two again next year at Blue Heron Pines!!
Enjoy the sneak peek! xo
Arent they just adorable together?
<3 <3 <3
Love Mitch’s tattoo! Perfect pop of color to accessorize the photo! haha!
<3 Love you two! Cant wait to see you again in about 7 months!!
Jessica from Your Day Your Way is no exception! After meeting her back in early 2011, things just clicked with us and its been an absolute pleasure getting to know her over the past few years! When I find out that a bride is using her for their hair and make-up I do a little giddy dance because I know that although my brides are all already gorgeous, Jess is going to go out of her way to make sure each of them are flawless! Her talent is pure artistry and perfection!
So, needless to say, when Jessica wanted to do a Trash the Dress down in Cape May, I jumped at the chance to capture her and her hubby Eric! We started our time together at the always beautiful Congress Hall, the shops down Washington Street and then eventually made it to the beach where their little fur-babies Chico and Chanel made a little cameo! They are the cutest little chihuahuas! And although a bit chilly… I was able to get these two lovebirds in the ocean! And it was so totally worth it! Check it out!
Oh, the laughter… there was so much of that!
Work it!
Love the drama!
One of my favorites!
Jess, you are breathtaking!
The sunlight was just perfection!
Their adorable little family of 4!! :)
Just perfect…
Soooo worth it!! Gorgeous!!
I cant even handle the fabulousness!!!
Jess <3 Eric – thank you thank you thank you for letting us capture these photos for you! Gosh, seeing you both together, you can just see how much you’re meant to be together! A little laughter and a little romance makes a perfect combination! Hoping to hang out with you both again soon! xo
We captured Andrew and Heather’s wedding back in 2010, and a couple months ago we were contacted by Andrew’s brother Anthony and his fiancé Danielle! We were absolutely thrilled that we were available for their last minute wedding in the beginning of January! Anthony left for boot camp only 3 days after their wedding – he is joining the US Air Force and we are so proud of him for it!! Their wedding day took place at the beautiful Congress Hall in Cape May, New Jersey! The fabulous Jessica Perez from Your Day Your Way did everyone’s hair, and Danielle made her own broach bouquet! It was such a fun and wonderful day to spend time with Anthony’s family and to meet Danielle’s! I hope you enjoy the sneak peek of their fabulous day!!
LOVE the Converse sneakers!
So excited that they decided to do a First Look! And super excited that they were okay with going outside! It was the perfect time of day!
