A Romantic Rittenhouse Square Engagement Session

When it comes to choosing a location for an engagement session, we always suggest to our couples to choose a spot that has meaning to them. Whether it be a first date location, a fun activity or just somewhere they like to hang out, the sky is the limit. So, when we started talking about locations for Ashley and Mark’s engagement session, Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia came up immediately. This was the location where they first lived together! They used to run a lot in the area, as well as just walk through the park and enjoy the flowers and scenery. So, a romantic Rittenhouse Square Engagement Session was set for Spring!

We met up with Ashley and Mark across from one of their favorite restaurants, Parc. From there, we wandered around Rittenhouse Square, and took advantage of all of the freshly bloomed flowers!  Since Spring decided to come a little late to the Philadelphia area this year, I was so thankful to find some color among the greenery in the park! We then took a short walk over to the building that they first lived together in, and then headed over to Addison Street!  I absolutely adore that they have twinkle lights on the trees there year-round!

We had such a wonderful time just wandering around, chatting and really getting to know Ashley & Mark.  Getting to know our couples is one of our reasons for wanting each couple to have an engagement session with us! This way, when we show up on the wedding day, we’re more like trusted friends than hired vendors, and we’re able to get more comfortable, natural photos of them!

The Story of Mark & Ashley

Mark and Ashley met one another during the Summer of 2015 in Avalon, NJ. Their love grew and so did their family! They welcomed a beautiful son into their lives this past October!  BUT earlier in the year, while moving into their new apartment in Philadelphia, Mark proposed to Ashley in the ‘soon to be nursery’. Swoon!  How sweet is that?!

Mark and Ashley are planning a classic, black and white wedding at the Ballroom at the Philadelphia Marriott. With EBE Paris as their band, we have no doubt that they will have an absolutely amazing time and their guests will not leave the dance floor all night!!  We can’t wait to capture such a special day for such a deserving, beautiful couple!
