A Bright and Beautiful Longwood Gardens Engagement Session

From the gardens, to the fountains to the beautiful architecture, you really cannot go wrong with choosing Longwood Gardens for your engagement session! There is so much to see and no shortage of beautiful backdrops. We could spend an entire day there and still not see it all. We love continually visiting Longwood Gardens, because each time we go we find something new!

Liz and Stephen chose Longwood Gardens for their engagement session, because they live nearby and absolutely love going. In particular, they love the fountain shows, especially around the holidays! You could just see their faces light up as we walked through the gardens. They were so cute and natural together, and make our job so easy!

The Story of Liz & Stephen

It was March 14th, 2015. Liz’s girlfriends called her up an asked her to come out for drinks. She reluctantly said yes, and that decision changed her life forever. A very drunk patron attempted to his on all of the girls at the same time. He was very unsuccessful, but the guys sitting next to them found it very amusing. After a few hours of trading jokes and occasional conversation, the bar got crowded, and it was time to leave.

To Liz’s surprise, Steve asked for her number. (She had thought he was originally hitting on one of her friends). They went out on a date a week later, and three days after that he cooked her a beautiful dinner after a rough day at work. There was never one moment, one look, one instance – they just grew together and didn’t want to be apart.

In October of 2017, while standing on a cliff overlooking the harbor in Maine, Stephen proposed! Liz, of course, said YES!

Over the years, being in the Wedding Industry, we come across so many different vendors and so many wonderful people that we get the pleasure of working with side by side. In 2010 we were lucky enough to meet Jess from Your Day Your Way Traveling Hair + Makeup Artistry. We quickly became work friends and loved the chance to get to work weddings together. But you know how sometimes you feel as if things are just meant to be? Well, that is what it feels like with us! Over the past 7 years, we’ve gone from being great industry friends to growing our friendship and becoming actual friends. It’s been so much fun being a part of so many of each others milestones, especially the latest one!

We want to welcome Jess and her husband Eric to the wonderful world of being a parent! There really isn’t anything quite like the love that a parent has for their children! We’re so excited that Jess and Eric get to experience that love! Last week, they welcomed their beautiful, perfect, adorable baby girl Mila into this world and we could not be happier for them!

Rewind to a few months ago, when Ryan and I had the pleasure of capturing their maternity session! We started out at their house so that we could get photos with their other babies, their dogs Chico, Chloe and Cora. Plus, we were able to get a few in Mila’s nursery! From there, we headed to Longwood Gardens. Jess and Eric wanted somewhere beautiful with lots of color and flowers. Thank you so much to A Garden Party Florist for Jess’s gorgeous flower crown! Isn’t her nursery just the cutest?! I could not handle the birch branches on the walls – LOVE! I was in love with the flowy, beautiful maternity dress that Jess got for our Longwood Gardens photos! The way these two look at one another… Swoon!!!! Isn’t Jess just the most gorgeous momma-to-be?! The flower crown was the perfect added touch!

Kerry + Patrick!

They didnt really hang out while they were in college, they just kept bumping into each other over the years at parties and such… Until one night, Patrick invited Kerry out to karaoke with him and some friends, and well, they’ve been inseparable ever since! Kerry told me that she knew that they would get married after their very first kiss! They welcomed their son into the world in September 2011 and were engaged the following December!!

Here we are now capturing their engagement! We had such a great time getting to know these two Totally Freakin’ Awesome (their words.. but totally true!) lovebirds!! Cant wait to capture their wedding next year at Running Deer Golf Club! For now, enjoy! xo Swoon <3

Sondra and Dan had plans to go down the shore with her family, so Dan made sure they were in on it… And on July 15th, 2011 in Ocean City, NJ, Dan popped the question to Sondra! She, of course, said yes! Here we are now, a little over a year later, and a little less than a year until they tie the knot!! We met up with these two lovebirds at the beautiful Longwood Gardens for their engagement shoot!! Hope you love the sneak peek!! xo

Julianne is from New England… So here we have yet another Phillies vs. Red Sox relationship! lol! Phillies are better though… Love the funny faces……especially when they end with a reaction like this!!
Julianne and Jason met at Elizabethtown College, so of course they had to rock their sweatshirts!!Cupcake!!! :)
